Wire clip

Efficient and space-saving Wire-to-Board solutions with fully-wired Wireclip cable manufacture on a minimal installation height.

Reliable connections of single strands and single cores of circular and external conductors in different, customer-specific configurations have to be implemented.

The patented soldering aid consists of a specially designed plastic assembly. Wire strands already twisted and tin-plated by our cable assembly department are inserted into the soldering aid, bent to the right position and then cut off to a dimension. This creates a connecting part exactly dimensioned for a 2.54 mm spacing where at the same time the continious wire makes the contact. This part can now be easily and quickly inserted into the printed circuit board. The integrated locking clip fixes the part with the wires until the soldering process takes place on the board and also serves as a cable strain relief. The soldering may be done manually or using wave soldering. Depending on the application the second side of the cable may also be fitted with a further soldering aid or assembled with any required connector system.

This wire clip is ideal for applications where the overall height is very low and an absolute failsafe cable connection is required. It has already been successfully used millions of times in the field  of industrial electronics and the automotive industry. Today almost all car producers use this technology in their vehicles in systems where safety is critical and in the steering wheel.
