Reliable straight PROFIBUS Plug&Play M12 Bus connector
Provertha PROFIBUS Plug&Play bus connector with M12 interfaces for horizontal cable connection and EMI/RFI shielding
Pforzheim, November 25, 2008 – Provertha expands its I-Net bus connector series introducing the straight PROFIBUS Plug&Play bus connector with horizontal (180°) cable connection. These bus connectors are especially designed for reliable fault-free PROFIBUS data transfer in compact application where two PROFIBUS interfaces are installed on top of each other, for example. The full metal diecast housing allow for high robustness in industrial environments and ensures effective EMI/RFI shielding with overlapping EMI/RF sealing surfaces between the top and bottom hood shell.
The new PROFIBUS Plug&Play bus connectors with two M12 connector interfaces allow realize the PROFIBUS connection to the field bus via the ingoing and outgoing cables within seconds. The fault-free operation is secured with the use of 100% tested bus connectors and 100% tested M12 Profibus cable assemblies instead of the time-consuming cable preparation and cable shield assembly with the possibility, that failures can occur especially on the cable shield termination. Just easy plug-in of the new Provertha bus connectors into the field bus interface of the device and plug-in the M12-PROFIBUS cables and the PROFIBUS will run.
The bus connectors are designed in accordance with the PROFIBUS standard with M12 Connectors with B-code and integrated SMT inductances for data rates of up to 12 Mbit/sec with an externally operated switch for activating the bus termination resistors.
